Children's Ministry

Saint Paul United Methodist Church is committed to helping children experience the church as a place to belong. In addition to providing educational opportunities and activities, we encourage families to include children in worship services so that they might experience more fully their place in the community of faith.

Children's Sunday School Classes

Crafts Room

Children's Sunday school classes include infants through 5th grade. In 2006, Crossroads Rotation began for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Rotation Sunday school is an exciting and dynamic way of presenting Sunday school lessons to children. Children take part in the stories themselves rather than sitting around a table for a "mini-lecture." It uses imagination, creativity, and energy to bring biblical stories to life. Rotation also allows adults to maximize their teaching talents. The five rooms used in Crossroads are listed below

Our five rooms for rotation are:

Music Room

Children's Choir

Children's Choir

Our Children's Choir meets on Wednesday afternoons beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the choir room.

Seasonal Activities

Vacation Bible School is one of our yearly activities. It is on the 3rd full week in July. Other seasonal activities include Advent and Lenten Fairs.

Acolyte Ministry

Acolytes

Acolytes are a vital part of our worship experience. Acolytes both bring in and take out the light (which symbolizes the presence of Christ). Acolytes also collect the offering plates from our ushers, lift them to the glory of God, and place them on the altar.

Kids Club

Designed for Kindergarten - 2nd grade, Kids' Club meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. during the school year. A meal is followed by a lesson and a variety of fun activities.

V.I.S.I.O.N.
