Youth

Our UMY (United Methodist Youth) groups meet every Sunday at 4:30 in the church gym.  They are a dynamic group of young people (grades 6-12).  Our youth are a very active group at St. Paul.  They do many projects throughout the year. A few include a church wide Valentine's dinner, work in the soup kitchen, lock ins, planning and working in the haunted house at our annual Halloween carnival, car washes, and retreats.  To reward themselves for all of their hard work, they take a spring break and summer trip.  They are under the leadership of Roger Rasico.

Adult Programs

United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  St. Paul has three UMW groups and new members are warmly welcomed at any time.  Please contact the church for more information on groups and meetings.

Me Third Club has as its motto "God first, others second, me third."  This group meets in the Ruth Wilson Hall on the 4th Thursday of September through May.  Most members are retired, but membership is open to anyone at any time.  Fellowship begins at 11:00, a devotional and business meeting at 11:30, followed by potluck and a program.

Several Bible Studies will be offered throughout the year.  Two long term studies will be taught by Rev. Fleming.  Others will be taught by leaders in the congregation.  Contact the church office for more information or check the calendar page for dates.

Missions

St. Paul is involved in a variety of missions throughout the community and the world.  The church family helps to support Shanda Harrison, a missionary  who is helping to spread God's word in Bolivia.  Locally, our youth group volunteers at the soup kitchen and other projects throughout the community.  Our UMW group is actively involved with Camp Aldersgate and MiWatch and have many other projects going during the year.  Every Christmas the church has St. Nick at St. Paul.  These are just a few examples of the way our church is working to spread God's love.

Scouting Program

St. Paul has supported Pack 30 and Troop 30 of the Boy Scouts of America for many years.  Troop 30 was recently recognized as "troop of the year."  Every February we have Scout Sunday during a worship.  The Scoutmaster is Tom Smith, and the advisors are Ray Camp and Tom Dodson, all of whom are St. Paul members.  The Scouts meet weekly at the church annex on Mondays and Tuesdays.  For more information about the scouting program log onto their website at www.arkie.net/~troop30/ or email Tom Smith.
